Alpha is an exciting way of being able to learn about Jesus and ask questions about what it means to be a Christian today. We meet every week on a Thursday evening at the Harlaw Centre for about 10 weeks to enjoy a delicious meal together, watch a video in which Nicky Gumbel tackles the various topics and then have a chance to discuss what he says. In the middle of the course we try to go away together for a weekend which gives us a bit more space to ask questions and learn about the person and work of the Holy Spirit. A popular venue we use for this weekend away is the Cairngorms Christian Centre, set amidst the beautiful hills and forests at Kincraig. We usually run two Alpha Courses a year, in the autumn and spring.
